What is the deal with FREE Friday?

Thanks to the generosity of FedEx Ground and Hefren-Tillotson, admission on Friday, July 24th is FREE with a bag of non-perishable grocery items to donate to the Food Bank. We say "a bag" - so please be as generous as possible and bring a couple items per person. Children 12 and under are always free, but consider having them bring some items, too. Special thanks to FREE Friday media sponsors Fox 53 and WDVE.

Why are you charging an extra $5.00 to bring a personal cooler?

We know that patrons are used to bringing their own food and drink coolers to the regular Sunday evening Hartwood Acres free concerts sponsored by Allegheny County. But please understand that the Blues Festival Weekend is a totally different event; it is a fundraiser for the Food Bank. And a large part of the proceeds come from the sale of food and beverages go directly to feed hungry people in our community. To show our appreciation for your support, we make the ticket and food/drink prices extremely reasonable, far less than any other ticketed music event in this area, and parking is free. In return we are asking for your cooperation in either leaving your coolers at home or making an extra "cooler donation" of $5.00 at the gate. No outside alcoholic beverages will be permitted.

What are Blues Bucks?

Blues Bucks are used in place of cash to purchase food and beverages (including beer) at Food Bank operated concession and beverage stands. 100% of the proceeds from Blues Bucks benefit the Food Bank!

How do I get to Hartwood Acres?

Click here for a Google map of Hartwood Acres. Please note, Harts Run Road will be closed during the festival weekend.

How does the back stage pass raffle work?

If you purchase tickets in advance, either online or at a participating ticket outlet, you will receive one raffle ticket for each ticket purchased. The prize for this raffle is the opportunity to watch the headline act from backstage, and meet the musicians. Please note that the raffle tickets are numbered, and that we already have all the ticket stubs - you are already entered in the raffle. All you have to do is bring the raffle ticket with you to the Blues Festival; you will need it to prove you are the winner.
For example, if you purchase two Saturday Festival tickets, you will receive two Saturday raffle tickets. If you purchase a weekend pass, you will receive one Saturday raffle ticket and one Sunday raffle ticket.
We will call the raffle between 8 and 8:30 pm. The winner may bring one companion (total 2 people) backstage, meet the musicians and watch the headline act from backstage.
